During the WWDC 2026 keynote, Apple unveiled iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. This time, however, the company didn’t mention CarPlay 27 during the main presentation. Later, Apple shared a developer-focused video that shed light on the upcoming update, revealing several of the changes and improvements coming to CarPlay 27.

As with every CarPlay release, the CarPlay 27 features plenty of new wallpapers. For the first time, Apple unifies the wallpaper for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, and even CarPlay.
